American PTSD or Careful Consideration?

It's hard to say rather we're just still a nation that is on edge or if we're a nation that has learned to be careful.  It's not been that long, in the grand picture, since 9/11.  So I'll let you, faithful reader, decide what you think. It's a long read, but it's worthwhile to understand just how far we still have to come in dealing with the threat of terrorism.
