Ever Wonder Why We Fear "Preemption"?

Well, it appears that Russia wants in on the Doctrine of Preemption. After the debacle in the school, it is not surprising that Putin wants to strike back at the people who murdered the children. However, it makes you wonder. I trust Bush to only use preemption when it is absolutely required. I might even trust Kerry to be careful about it, because he knows he'll be under microscopic scrutiny from Talk Radio. But I am not sure I trust Vladamir Putin not to use it to destroy his political enemies. And moreso, I am sure I will not trust whoever succeeds Putin in Russia.

Sigh. The world is so complicated. But when I was in Physics they used to say if the world was less complicated, it's stop spinning on its axis.
