Politics of the Electoral College

One Republican member of the Electoral College is threatning to vote against President Bush even if he wins the state. Now look, I hardly think we all need to be the Borg here and simply espouse party lines. But if you're sole job is to go and cast a vote that represents the wishes of your state and you fail to do so, then you are in violation of your obligations and should be removed from your position. There's simply no room for petty political displays at a time like this. If you dislike the Presient so much, the step down and let someone who will do their duty take your place.
