Sony Announces Smaller, Thinner PSTwo

Sony has officially announced the "PSTwo", a smaller, slimmer version of the Playstation 2. The new version is 25% of the size of the original, and will include an integrated online feature set, including both an Ethernet port for those with cable internet or DSL, and a modem port for those with plain old dial-up. Engadget has up the best coverage with pictures, for now. The new version is set to start selling November, which means it will be available for the Christmas season.

Great deal. My only problem? It is far less of a design change (visually) than the PSOne was over the Playstation, so there is a lot less coolness to induce people to rebuy what they already have. But maybe it'll be cooler in person.
