Fiber To The Premises Halted

Some of our techie readers may have heard about Verizon's Fiber To The Premises service which offered incredibly high rates of bandwidth for around $40 per month. Well, it seems that there have been some problems with initial installations including a sewer line breaking and a partially swallowed minivan. I'd love to see this service come to my place, but I can do without having my services interrupted.
