Iraqis (Finally) Elect a Speaker

It has taken almost two full months - not a great sign that the Iraqi Parliament will be able to achieve the August 15 deadline for a Constitution - but they have finally chosen a speaker for their Parliament. Even biggers news, the chosen man is a Sunni - the minority in Iraq and the group which had attempted to boycott the elections. It shows a significant effort to reach out and form a coalition government that reflects all of the people of Iraq. Now, they just need to choose Prime Minister, President, Vice President.... The list goes on and on.
