Aren't You Thankful *YOUR* Work Has Spell Checkers?

I know I definitely am, after reading about this poor person whose typo left Merill Lynch with a $12 million dollar loss.

The trader with Fubon Securities miskeyed in a small order from Merrill Lynch on Monday, creating confusion when many small companies inexplicably surged past the 7 percent trading limit.
"Something like this is difficult to explain to superiors," a Fubon executive said Tuesday.
This is why I am thankful I have a job where the worst that can happen from one of my mistakes is a big error in some code. Which still has to pass through several layers of QA testing before it ever sees the light of day. Then again, at least this was not a mistake which cost anyone their life or their health!
