This seems like an interesting experiment from NetZero.Com. They are offering a free phone number at which they provide free voice mail. There are local numbers for most places in the country, and it is a way to be able to give out a phone number which reaches you but is not linked to your personal address, etc. And when a message is left, they can send a text message to your cell phone or an e-mail to any address. They can even attach a WAV file, so you can hear the message without phoning in. It is potentially a great way to get your messages if you work or live somewhere your cell phone does not get good signal.
