Engadget has up the first hands-on review of the iTV prototype revealed by Apple yesterday. Again, this is the set-top unit for your television that will wirelessly stream iTunes content from your Airport network to your TV. In High Definition. In 2007.
Personally, the one big problem I see with the unit is the price. At $299, it is a bit expensive when you can simply hook your iPod directly to your TV from many sources, and when your laptop can output to HDMI. Of course, the convenience of not tying up your computer to watch a downloaded movie is worth something. But $179 would be a better price point.
