I came across this interesting article on how Barack Obama is a great candidate, but will be remembered more along the lines of Bill Bradley and Paul Tsongas. This is very much the way that I felt about Steve Forbes in the last two elections. Like Obama he was a smart, successful outsider who was able to articulate his views on what he deemed important. (Of course, compared to Obama, Forbes has the charisma of a pencil eraser.) I think it will make for a more interesting presidential race to have Obama running for the Democrats, but it might make a starker choice of directions if Senator Clinton is the nominee.
