It is definitely an interesting sentiment, and unarguably true. But a lot of people are being angered by a sign in Sydney, Australia which declares that Jesus loves Osama Bin Laden. Personally, I have no problem with it, and hope OBL one day repents and turns to the Savior. I have little hope that this is the way it will go, however.

The Reformed crowd, or at least the hyper-Calvinists, would say that God does NOT love all people, only the elect. He only loves all KINDS of people. It is one area of Reformed theology I don't agree with. That's another long discussion for another time.
I've said before, if you really and truly believe that God (and Jesus) love all people, and that you are to follow His example, then you are forced to say God loved Hitler, and you should to. "Love your enemies, pray for those who persecute you" in the sermon on the mount.
The Anglican bishop in the article is right about not giving APPROVAL to actions, but loving the person is what Christ said and did.
If Christians actually did love their enemies (OBL qualifies) what would happen in this world?
