It has begun - Republicans for Obama

As the sense grows that Obama has the force of history behind him, it was always inevitable than some Republicans would look to jump on the bandwagon. Now, many are ready to make the switch and formally endorse "the most liberal Senator in Congress.

Former GOP congressman Joe Scarborough, who anchors MSNBC's "Morning Joe," says many conservative friends—including Bush officials and evangelical Christians—sent him enthusiastic e-mails after seeing Obama's post-election speeches in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. "He doesn't attack Republicans, he doesn't attack whites and he never seems to draw these dividing lines that Bill Clinton [does]," Scarborough told NEWSWEEK.
I predict until the Convention, when the nominee can finally consolidate their supporters, we'll be seeing a lot more of this. Obama's natural charisma and style, and the attraction of the idea of realizing Dr. King's dream, will be a magnetic force that many will succumb to. Is the GOP ready? Is John McCain?

It's not a far leap from John McCain to Obama, and Obama is so much more likable!
