So, why do most politicians grow a beard after they lose and election or drop out o a race? (Al Gore being the prime example.) As someone who doesn't want facial hair of his own, I don't under stand this phenomena. Maybe another Modblogger has the answer. Lets just hope Hilary Clinton doesn't do it when she loses the Democratic race. ;-)

Well, there is a simple explanation for this. While running for office candidates are always trying to avoid a scandal. After they loose, avoiding a scandal isn't so important anymore so they grow a beard... chicks love facial hair. All-right! Gigity Gigity!
I am one who, generally, likes facial hair on men. But just because you CAN grow facial hair, does not mean that it looks good on you. Men need to look in the mirror and use good judgment.

Perhaps it has something to do with it being easier to grow a beard than shave every morning? They've been fighting so hard, that they just take time to completely relax.
