I had an iPhone, now I have a full-color Kindle!

Please report on how it compares. I have Stanza for reading free books but would be interested to see if it's worth reading purchased books on the iPhone.

So far, it is a joy to use. I installed it, gave my Amazon username/password, and immediately all 32 books I have bought for my hardware Kindle 1 were there for download. Download for even the bible was quick over Wifi (less than 10 seconds), download of novels is about 5 seconds over 3G. It saves the last location from your hardware Kindle and will sync it to the iPhone app. You swipe your finger to turn pages.

I am VERY happy so far. Although, I think this may discourage folks from buying a hardware Kindle. Still, if the idea is to sell books, this will do them very well!

I am SO jealous! I love my Kindle 1, but would love the K2. Doesn't this new version read out loud to you as well?? How is the sound/voice? I'd love the new one, but $$$. =)

Elinor,

Sorry for the confusion, I do NOT have the Kindle II. Amazon just releases Kindle for iPhone, so I can read Kindle books on my iPhone.

And the beauty is, the app is FREE. So I can reuse all the books I bought for my Kindle 1.
