Mom tells the story of how her sister used to tell her kids "If you hit your mother you go straight to Hell. You don't die first, you just go straight there." Well if that is true, the Twins may be without a starting outfielder tomorrow. Denard Span who plays the outfield and bats leadoff for the Minnesota Twins led off the a spring training game and fouled off a ball which went into the stands and hit his Mom in the chest. She was treated by paramedics and was back in her seat minutes later, so she is OK. What are the odds of that?

I think that would be if you INTENTIONALLY hit your mother. This guy was really upset about it all.
Fortunately, the worst thing to come out of this will be that he's going to hear about it for the rest of his life.
