The truthfulness Jesus demands of his disciples is self-denial that does not conceal sin. Everything is visible and clear.Do I really understand how naked I stand before God, that He is fooled by nothing and that everything will one day be known?
Precisely because truthfulness is concerned first and last with uncovering human beings in their entirety of their being, in their iniquity before God...
