Dogs Can Smell Cancer?

FoxNews is reporting that a British study has proven what anecdotal evidence has shown for years: dogs can smell out cancer in their owners. Apparently, the abnormal proteins that cancer cells cause the body to produce can be sensed by man's best friend more easily than current testing machines. Doctors are skeptical that this will lead to a canine-based test anytime soon, but they are hopeful that it could lead to a better understanding of cancer's chemistry and perhaps better machines based on a puppy's nose.

For now, I'll just be nervous everytime our dog Biscuit takes an unusual interest in any of my moles.
