If you are one of those who has been hoping that the woman on the train screaming into her cell phone would one day go away, abandon all hope. Because for the first time, there are now more cellular phone numbers in the country than there are landline phones. Between cellular and VOIP, the erosion of "normal" phones has been known about for some time. But this is the first time that the landline phone has officially lost its crown.
