On Aslan's Voice, a Friend of Mod-Blog Claims to Know it First

Yesterday, AICN reported that the new voice of Aslan is Liam Neeson, after earlier reporting that Brian Cox had lost the job to some lost weight and thus a higher-pitched voice. They refused to stand behoind a "very anonymous" source. Well, a Mod-Blog Friend Blog, Thems-Me-Thoughts is reporting that they knew it all along.

Liam Neeson has recorded the voice for Aslan. I know this because my dad's agent brokered the deal (He is Liam's voice over agent). I also know because it was me that told him that the part was open, and then told him again that it was open because they fired Brian Cox. He said if I hadn't suggested it, he wouldn't have been able to track down the casting agent and get a deal:)
I am still somewhat skeptical, but I will admit that Neeson is better than many other choices I could think of. At least he may manage not to embarrass the estate of C. S. Lewis, as many of the other speculations would likely have done in their "real life."
