Hard Drives must be Politically Correct!

This post from the aptly named "Hot Abercrombie Chick" (she made up the name, not me!) reports on Los Angeles County's attempt to ban the use of "Master" and "Slave" in reference to hard drives. For those who do not know, these are real terms used to identify (in an IDE setup) which hard drive is set as the MAIN hard drive (Master - C: on PCs, the drive whose controller is mostly used) and the SECONDARY hard drives (Slave - D: and later drives on PCs). These are terms of long standing, and I think you can see that the terms are apt. Apt!

Sigh. Can't we use this extra political energy banging around Los Angeles Country and resolve the genocide in Sudan insead?
