IBM to buy Apple?

Anyone who has been an Apple Computer buyer for any period of time is used to buyout rumors. Time was, everyone from Microsoft to Dell to Gateway to Wal-Mart to the old guy down the street who mumbles and glares at you as you walk the dog by was "in talks to purchase the ailing Apple Computer." Well, finally the success of the iMac, iPod, and other products have brought Apple back from the grave (again), and this still most of the speculation. But the recent upgrading of Apple stock by analysts, along with IBMs sale of its PC division, have created fertile ground for another rumor. Is IBM about to buy or merge with Apple computer?.

Well, chances are the answer is "No." Not unless Steve Jobs is ready to step down, and/or switch to Blue Suits instead of jeans-and-a-turtleneck. But speculation can be fun. And harmless, so long as no one takes it TOO seriously.
